MILLBURY – Joseph J. Golinski, Sr., 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 24th surrounded by his family.
Joe’s wife of 48 years, Harriette S. (White) Golinski passed away in 2003. He leaves three children, Joseph J. Golinski, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Sarasota, FL, Michael P. Golinski, Sr. and his wife, Pauline of Sturbridge and Elaine M. Dupuis and her husband, Mark of Millbury; six grandchildren, Tracy, Michelle, Joseph, Michael, Joseph and Jeffrey; a great grandchild, Mikhaila; many nieces and nephews. Joe is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mary Golinksi; four siblings, Victoria Golinski, Frances Chrostowski, John Golinksi and Josephine Guerin.
Joe was born in Worcester and attended Boy’s Trade before entering the Navy during World War II serving on the USS Leyte Gulf. In 1959 he moved to Millbury where he raised his family. He worked in manufacturing for over 55 years for both Elfskin Co. and later Nylco.
His hobbies included playing the accordion, working on cars and around the house, yard sales and flea markets but most of all he enjoyed his family.
Family and friends will celebrate and remember Joe’s life with a time of visitation on Sunday, August 29th from 2 to 4 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 30th at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa, 34 Ward Street in Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Worcester.
