MILLBURY- Joseph Rogers, 59, of 1 Gates Lane, Millbury, died Tuesday, June 14th in his home, after being stricken ill.
He leaves his wife, Maureen A. (Burns) Rogers, formerly of Milford; three daughters, Christina and her husband Jason Pietrezak of Dudley, Sarah Jean Rogers and Maryelizabeth Rogers both of Millbury; his mother, Josephine (Mikelonis) Rogers of Millbury; a brother, James Rogers of Millbury; a sister, Kathleen Wilson of Laconia, N.H.; two grandsons, Avrek and Camden Pietrezak; nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was born in Rochester, N.H., son of the late Leo Rogers and lived in Millbury most of his life. He is predeceased by a brother, Leo Rogers.
Mr. Rogers was a plumber and had previously worked at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham for 25 years. He was recently employed at Petroleum Services of Worcester. He was a Marine veteran during the Vietnam War. Mr. Rogers loved being with his family especially his wife, children and grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. is assisting the family with arrangements.
