Joseph F. Wilbur, 72, died Saturday, July 11th in his home, after being stricken ill.
He leaves his sister and best friend, Ginny Picking and her husband Bob of Millbury; a special nephew, John Picking and his wife Nancy and four great nieces and nephews, Rob Picking, Larissa Picking, Scott Anderson and Valerie Anderson; a close brother-in law and sister-in-law, Everett and Janet Grahn; several cousins. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Ernest L. and Dorothy M. (Viera) Wilbur, a brother, John F. Wilbur and a niece, Jeryl (Picking) Anderson.
Joe was a loving and caring son to his mother, especially when she had failing health. He always had a smile and love to tell stories. Everyone looked forward to family dinners with "Uncle Joey". He made them fun and everyone loved to tease him. The family would like to thank his many friends, including his special neighbors and also his friends at Goretti's.
His funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 15th at 10 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will be private in Central Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to a cat shelter of your choice.
