MILLBURY – Joyce G. (Goude) Cofsky, 90, died peacefully Thursday, April 5th after a well lived life.
Her husband Edmund R. Cofsky died in 1992. She leaves two sons, Roger D. Cofsky and Steven H. Cofsky and his wife, Judith all of Millbury; two grandchildren, James Cofsky and Marie King as well as four great grandchildren. Joyce was born in Northampton, England to Walter and Florence (Underwood) Goude and was sister to Bill and Derek Goude.
Joyce was a very capable woman willing to tackle anything that came her way. She had a passion for ballroom dancing, gardening and reading. Joyce loved to reminisce about her years working to fuel the aircraft for the RAF during WW II. No matter what life had to offer, Joyce grabbed hold and accepted it with a smile. We would like to thank the staff at the Lutheran Home in Worcester and especially those at the Elder Service Plan for all their support in ensuring the highest quality of life for Joyce.
Joyce's funeral will be held Monday, April 9th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. A visitation period will be held Monday, prior to the Funeral Mass from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Memorial contributions may be made to Abby's House, 52 High Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
