MILLBURY

Judith E. Lockwood, of Millbury Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at 83 years old on April 23, 2025.

Born May 17, 1941, Daughter of Carl and Arlene Axberg of Quincy, Massachusetts, she is survived by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Larry Lockwood of Millbury, her daughter Tina Goodale of Cranston, RI, son Lawrence Lockwood of Boston and grandkids Lily, Lucas, Zoey and her eldest granddaughter, Janelle Winter of Goose Creek SC from her late daughter, Margene. Judy’s brother Gil, his wife Janice, and her nieces and nephew Donna Roger, David Axberg, and Carla Sanborn.

Judy’s husband's three sisters and husbands; Linda and Monte Standage, Karen Johnson, Merrilee and Sam Thomas, and her nieces and nephews Cherri Sechtem, Mickey Thomas Johansen, Macy Thomas, Audra Waugh, Kristy Holmes, Sheila Cady, Mark Standage, and Vicki Lentz reside in Nebraska and South Dakota.

Judy was a caretaker in many ways; as a loving wife, an attentive and compassionate mother, a caring friend, in her career as a dedicated nurse, and as she carried herself through her faithful Christian life. She was a creative woman who enjoyed making good food and the people who ate it happy. She had household fame for her creative family birthday cakes and Halloween costumes, her holiday crafts, and planning of many family trips.

Judy was always singing or humming a song throughout her house and her life. She enjoyed gardening and had plants growing in many spaces in and out. She volunteered her time throughout her life, from school field trips with her kids, providing nursing advice and daycare to many, to making toys and dolls for children in war torn nations with a Christian outreach program.

Her impact will resound with the people she has touched and taught.

~Our love, husband, son and daughter.
