Judy Gabriele

Judy Ann (Whiterell) Gabriele, 71, passed away on January 18, 2022 at Holden Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Holden, Massachusetts where she resided for 2 years.  She passed peacefully after a long illness.  Following her instructions, there will be a graveside service at Central Cemetery in Millbury, Massachusetts in the spring with no other calling hours or funeral service.

Judy was born on December 11, 1950 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Charlotte (McDermott) and Irving Whiterell. She grew up in Millbury, Massachusetts then moved to Rhode Island following her marriage to Anthony Gabriele of Rhode Island.  She resided in Rhode Island until she moved to Brookdale Eddy Pond East in Auburn, Massachusetts in 2017.

Judy is survived by her son, Anthony (Tony) Gabriele, Jr of San Diego, CA; her brother, John Whiterell and his wife, Susan Ojerholm Whiterell of Millbury, MA; and her sister, Linda Whiterell Stevens of Millbury, MA.  In addition, she is survived by her special life-long friend, Christine Graber Robbins of Worcester, MA.

Her life was well lived and although she had many chronic illnesses throughout her life, she was one tough lady who fought through setbacks with a cheerful attitude. We will all remember her beautiful smile and twinkling eyes.
