MILLBURY - June Ann R. (Martone) Leonard, 62, of 36 Woodland St., died Sunday, June 24, in her home, after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 42 years, Dennis P. Leonard; three sons, Mark J. Leonard of Northborough, Dennis P. Leonard Jr. of East Brookfield and Michael J. Leonard of Hunnington Beach, Ca.; a daughter, Brenda M. Leonard of Millbury; two brothers, Anthony Martone and Ernest Martone both of Worcester; five sisters, Marilyn Kanerva of West Boylston, Marie Ovian of Sutton, Loretta Sclafani and Sandra Penny both of Worcester; and Debra Martone of Dudley; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by a daughter Denise M. Leonard and a brother, John Martone. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Nicholas and Rose (Tortorino) Martone and has lived in Millbury for 37 years.
Mrs. Leonard was a comptometer operator at the former Bond Bread Co. in Worcester before moving to Millbury. While in Millbury she was a teachers aid in the Millbury School System and then was a nurses aid at the Providence House Nursing Home.
She was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church. She also received the Lioness Club award for humanitarism, the Joseph J. Camarda Award. Her hobbies were piano playing and bird watching.
Funeral Wednesday, June 27, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigids Church, 59 Main St. Burial will be in St. JohnTM)s Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VNA Care Hospice, Inc., 120 Thomas St., Worceser, Ma. 01608.
