MILLBURY Kenneth G. Gareri, died Sunday, September 5, 2010, after a long battle with MDS surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his beloved wife of 18 years Gayle M. (Bengtson) Gareri, his daughter Paula Gareri & her partner Patricia Yerrington of Worcester, his daughter Julie Frazier & son-in-law Carlo Ianniccheri, his sons Travis Frazier & wife Sandra, Keith Frazier & wife Lindsay all of Millbury, Justin O'Keefe & wife Laura of Worcester, his precious grandchildren Dylan & Taylor Ianniccheri, Travis Jr., Amber, & Trent Frazier. His uncle Kenneth Mattson and wife Teresa of Portsmouth, RI, and many cousins. He also leaves many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews (the Bengtson family) who were all very dear to him.
He is predeceased by his parents Anthony R. Gareri and Hilda A. (Mattson) Gareri, his brother Ralph A. Gareri. His first wife Nellie Struckus died 1990.
Kenneth grew up in Milford, MA and graduated from North High School in Worcester and Stockbridge School of Agriculture. He retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. in 1984. He worked in Real Estate for several years before starting his own business, Step-Up Property Management Co. with his wife.
Kenneth went by many names "Dad", "Ken", "Kenny", "Kenzo", "Cadillac Jack", and his favorite "Grampy".
He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He loved watching his grandchildren play little league. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
KennethTM)s funeral will be held Thursday, September 9th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Wednesday, September 8th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
