Kenneth Lague

June 1, 1921 — February 25, 2002

MILLBURY - Kenneth E. Lague, 80, of 10 Lincoln Ave., died Monday, Feb. 25, in St. Vincent Hospital at the Worcester Medical Center, Worcester.

He leaves his wife, Minnie Belle (Shepherd) Lague; three daughters, Patricia A. Willoughby of West Boylston, Linda Marie Bond of Millbury and Dorothy J. Siderski of Worcester; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a nephew, a niece and cousins. He is predeceased by a son, Kenneth E. Lague II of Worcester and a brother, Fred Lague of Norton. He was born in Milford, son of Fred J. and Selma Marie (Johnson) Lague and lived in North Grafton before moving to Millbury in 1960.

Mr. Lague was a sales representative for Bel-Dot Inc. in Wilkinsonville for 15 years, retiring in 1984. Previously he worked as a quality control engineer for the Jamesbury Corp. in Worcester. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp. during WW II, serving the Pacific Theater, Guadacanal, Bogansville, Guam and Iwo Jima.

He was a member of the Millbury Baptist Church and a former scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop #109. He was a former baseball coach for the Millbury Little League and the Babe Ruth League. While living in North Grafton he was a member and deacon of the Second Baptist Church in Grafton.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, in Millbury Baptist Church, Main St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. Memorial contributions may be made to Millbury Baptist Church, P.O. Box 222, Millbury, Ma. 01527.
