Lawrence C. Beatty Jr., 76, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012 in the Millbury Health Care Center.
His wife, Ruth A. (Magierowski) Beatty died in 2009. He leaves three sons, Edward Beatty and Mark W. Beatty and his wife, Anne all of Leicester and Larry C. Beatty, III and his companion, Pauline Cox of Millbury; a daughter, Kathy Leary of North Grafton; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his parents, Lawrence C. Beatty Sr. and Anne L. (Jones) Beatty; three children, David and Scott Beatty and Cynthia Sturgis and a brother, Robert Jones.
He worked for 30 years at IBA in Millbury retiring in 2001. He was a Millbury Fire Fighter for 9 years, retiring as a Lieutenant in 1982 and he was a former board member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He enjoyed the Lucky Bear Lodge in Maine where he loved hunting and fishing and was an avid Red Sox's Fan.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug.4th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the funeral, in the funeral home. Condolence book and directions available at:
