MILLBURY Leonard "Butch" Dattis, 65, of 217 Millbury Ave., died Friday, Oct. 22nd in his home, after an illness.
He leaves his wife, Bonny M. (Wilkinson) Dattis; four children, Leonard Dattis and his wife JoAnn of Worcester, Debra wife of Larry Bourget of Sturbridge, Ann Marie wife of Timothy Tyler of West Boylston and Laurie Leblanc of Auburn; eight grandchildren, Anthony and Michelle Dattis, Larry and Ryan Bourget, Timothy and Jennifer Tyler and Keith and Bradley LeBlanc; a sister Leona wife of Nicholas Mazzamurro of Worcester; nephews and nieces and many friends including Mark and Eileen Dana. He is predeceased by a sister Wanda (Dattis) Morin, a nephew Michael Morin and a niece Julie Morin. He was born in Worcester, son of Leonard Dattis Sr. and Wanda M. (Wrobel) Dattis.
Mr. Dattis was a kiln fireman at Bay State Abrasives in Westborough where he worked for 30 years, retiring in 1992. He was a Navy Veteran serving on the USS Essex and the USS Randolph.
He was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church, the 4th degree member of Benedict Council Knights of Columbus in South Grafton and the Greendale MenTM)s Club. Butch loved time with his family and friends, traveling and trips to the Casino.
His funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 25th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
