MILLBURY – Leone E. (Budreau) Prue, 83, passed away peacefully after a long illness, at St. Vincent's Hospital on December 19th surrounded by her family. Her husband of 49 years, Richard E. Prue predeceased her in 2002.
Leone was born in Millbury to Mary and Leo Budreau and was a life-long resident of Millbury. In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, she worked as a unit clerk at Memorial Hospital in Worcester for 25 years. She loved to read, work outside in her flower gardens and was an avid animal lover.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeannine Silun of North Oxford, her son Jeffrey Prue of Worcester and son Mark Prue and his wife Lori of Sutton, 6 grandchildren: Seth Silun and his wife Lauren, Ben Silun, Adam Silun and his wife Lisa, and Nicole, Danielle, and Joshua Prue. 2 great grandchildren, Calvin and Leo Silun: sister-in-law, Beverly Prue and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved dog Princess who has given her many years of joy and comfort and who will miss her dearly.
Leone's funeral will be held Tuesday, Dec. 24th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 23rd from 5 to 8 p.m.in the funeral home and burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St. Worcester, MA 01606.
