SUTTON Leroy M. Thomas Jr., 60, of Sutton, died Thursday, Sept. 21st in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, after a five month courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
He leaves his wife, Joan (Gill) Jamros-Thomas; a son, Chuck Thomas, a daughter, Hiedi Thomas and a grandson, Benjamin Thomas all of Oxford; two step-sons, Michael Jamros and Brian Jamros both of Sutton; two step-grandsons, Mikey and Joey Jamros; two sisters, Joyce Watts and Joan Thurber both of Millbury; two brothers, James Thomas of Millbury and Steve Thomas of Worcester; nephews, nieces and cousins. He was born in Worcester, son of Leroy M. and Victoria E. (Biernat) Thomas.
Mr. Thomas was a hammer technician at Komtek Industries for 31 years, before he retired. He graduated from Millbury Memorial High School in 1963 and loved his grandchildren, fishing and sports.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25th in St. MarkTM)s Church, 356 Boston Rd., Sutton. Burial will be in private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or the American Lung Association of Massachusetts 5 Mountain Road, P.O. Box 265 Burlington, MA 01803-0465. Mulhane Home for Funerals, Millbury, is assisting the family with arrangements.
