WORCESTER- Levani N. Damuni, 61, of 28 White Ave., died Friday, February 18, 2005, in Hawaii while visiting his son.
He leaves his wife of 36 years, Donna J. (Mason) Damuni; 3 sons, Ilaisa T. Damuni of Sutton, Roland M. Damuni and his wife Leilofi of Haleiwa, HI, James J. Damuni and his wife Amber of Worcester; 2 daughters, Janie E., wife of Edwick Quiles, and Lusiana T. Damuni, both of Worcester; 1 brother, Emosi Damuni of Laie, HI; 2 sisters, Ruci Tulele and Lusiana Wainiqolo in Fiji; 6 grandchildren, Brittani and Roland Damuni, Kira Ferraro, Gabrielle, Noah, and Isaac Quiles, all of Worcester; and many nieces and nephews.
Levani was born in Fiji, son of Emosi and Timaima (Nakaukaucagi) Damuni, and left Fiji to join the British Army. He was a language instructor for the Peace Corps in Hawaii where he met his wife. They lived Hawaii and Fiji before moving to Worcester in 1972.
Levani was a machine operator at Form Roll Die Corp. for the past 30 years. He was an active member of Triumphant Life Church in Worcester.
The funeral will be held Monday, February 28th at 10 a.m. in Triumphant Life Church, 102 Randolph Rd., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday, Feb. 27th from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. (Route 122A), Millbury.
