WORCESTER –Lillian June (Buron) Oliver, 86, died Thursday, September 18th in the Lutheran Long-Term Care facility.
She leaves a daughter, Bonnie Oliver; two granddaughters, Megan and Molly Oliver, and a brother, George Buron of Millbury. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her son, R. Steven Oliver.
Lillian loved life and lived it to the fullest. She did her very best at every activity she took on, whether at home or work. It was a matter of pride with her. After raising her children, she returned to the working world and was employed at Norton Company for 23 years. She began as a cafeteria attendant and worked her way up to Employment Coordinator, responsible for processing all new exempt employees.
Lillian made her retirement home in Bradenton, Florida, for 12 years. She loved playing golf, making new friends, spending time at the beach, and bird-watching.
Lillian returned to Worcester in 2002 and lived with her daughter, Bonnie, for 10 years.
She was a member of Summit Eldercare. The last 2 years of her life were spent at the Lutheran Long-Term Care facility. Heartfelt thanks to the people of both organizations for your many kindnesses shown to my mother.
I will love you and miss you forever, Mom, but I am glad your struggles are over.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept 26th in All Faiths Cemetery, 7 Island Road in Worcester. There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funerals in Millbury is assisting the family with the arrangements.
