SUTTON – Linda K. (Tankis) Desrosiers, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5th.
Linda was born in Concord, MA to Joseph “John” & Eva (Miscoe) Tankis. She is survived by two daughters, Tina Bellville and Tammy Dykstra; a grandson, Wesley Dykstra; a brother, Peter Tankis and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Desrosiers.
Linda had a fulfilling career as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 414 of the Dudley Gendron American Legion Post.
She loved to watch cooking shows on TV and bake apple pies with her grandson. She was a big Elvis Presley fan. She enjoyed cross stitch and was always thrilled to host Christmas Eve and other holidays or occasions at her home in Sutton. She took great pride in the house she and her late husband built. She will be remembered for her collections of spoons and butterflies, as well as for graciously providing a place to stay for all of her children’s friends over the years.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15th from 12:00 to 1:00 PM followed by a brief funeral service at 1:00 PM all at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury. Burial will follow at Howard Cemetery in Sutton.
