Louis Ettamarna

d. October 27, 2016

Louis A. Ettamarna, 71, passed away October 27th at St. Vincent Hospital after an extended battle with a nerve disorder.

Lou leaves his son, James R. Ettamarna and Jim's wife, Monica; his daughter, Jill P. Kozaczka and Jill's husband Chris; and grandchildren Julia, Alex, Grace, Michael, and Mason, all from Sutton. His former wife, Joyce A. Smith, also from Sutton, stood by and supported Lou through his illness. Lou is predeceased by a grandson, Thomas, and his sister, Mary Jane Ettamarna.

Lou was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a Sergeant. Following his military service, Lou worked in retail for Agway and The Fair. Lou then spent the majority of his career in sales, including over fifteen years as a manufacturers' representative for S&H Associates, and more recently, in real estate and insurance.

Lou will be remembered for his gregarious personality and love of family and friends. He loved going on adventures: boating, fishing, snowmobiling, and exploring the many back roads and scenic places of New England. He lived for spending time with loved ones and making new friends. He was happiest when surrounded by his grandchildren.

Lou's Celebration of Life will be held at Blackstone National Golf Club, 227 Putnam Hill Road in Sutton between 2 and 5 P.M. on Sunday, October 30th. Friends and family are welcome to join and share memories of Lou.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help injured veterans ( https://semperfifund.org/ ) or support research of inclusion-body myositis ( http://www.myositis.org/ ).
