MILLBURY - Louise (Paine) Garner, 84, of 7 Park Hill Avenue, died Monday, June 4, in the Westborough Health Care Center, Westborough.
Her husband, Herbert W. Garner died in 1982. She leaves a son, Howard W. Garner of Sacramento, California; a daughter, Sherron L. Popham of Ellicott City, Maryland; a foster daughter, Catherine Seaver of Douglas; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Three brothers, Loren, Charles and Walter Paine and three sisters, Gertrude Hinckley, Alice Clark, and Ruth Simonelli predeceased her. She was born in Westminister, daughter of Howard and Dency (Hurd) Paine and has lived here for 60 years. .
Mrs. Garner was a licensed practical nurse and worked for the Millbury District Nursing Society Inc. and then for Certified Nursing in Worcester, for many years, before retiring. She also did private home health care and sold Avon products for 36 years.
She was a member of the Millbury Baptist Church, the Millbury Council on Aging and the Friends of the Millbury Seniors.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 8, in the Millbury Baptist Church, Main St.. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westboro.. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Millbury Baptist Church, P.O. Box 222, Millbury, Ma. 01527.
