WORCESTER – Marc S. Dunford, 63, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Feb. 9th in his home, after a brief illness.
Marc leaves his two brothers, Kevin M. Dunford of Auburn and Robert T. Dunford and his wife, Janet of Mission Viejo, CA; his nephew, Keegan M. Dunford of San Diego, CA; and many cousins. Marc is predeceased by his parents, Thomas L. and Muriel F. (Dumas) Dunford.
Marc graduated from Millbury High School in 1976. He attended Franklin Pierce College in NH. and continued his education at Worcester State College. Marc was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Marc worked for several years as a custodian at the Town Hall in Millbury. Marc was a creative, witty and very imaginative artist. From the time he was young, drawing those pictures in the back of TV Guide until his final days, he was always working on some re-imagining of the world around him. He was a big fan of science fiction and there wasn't anything he did not know about Star Trek!
To all of us who knew Marc, he was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He is and will be sadly missed by family and friends. May God welcome him in his arms and grant him the peace he so much deserves.
Family and friends will remember and celebrate Marc’s life with a time of visitation on Friday, Feb. 18th from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
His funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street in Millbury. Burial with military honors will follow at Central Cemetery, Millbury. Face masks will be required in the funeral home.
