WORCESTER Marcel "Ricky" Pichette, 83, of 52 Country Club Blvd., formerly of Grafton St., died Sunday July 4th in his home, after being stricken ill.
His wife, Beatrice M. (DeLorme) Pichette died in 1995. He leaves two sons, Dennis A. Pichette and Russell M. Pichette both of Worcester; a sister, Doris Cordeau of Waterbury, Ct.; a grandchild, Erica A. Jobe of Worcester; two great-grandsons. He was born in Watertown, Ct. son of Arthur and Rose (Theriault) Pichette. He is predeceased by a daughter, Carol A. Collette.
Mr. Pichette was a maintenance mechanic and time keeper at Standard Foundry in Worcester where he worked 39 years, retiring in 1984. He was an Army veteran during WW II from 1941 to 1945, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater.
He was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church, the Auburn Elks and the Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post in Sutton.
His funeral will be held Friday, July 9th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd., Worcester Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 8th, in the funeral home.
