Marcia Rosebrooks

OXFORD – Marcia C. (Gravelin) Rosebrooks, 78, passed away peacefully on January 30th at home surrounded by family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Willis L. Rosebrooks in 1991. She leaves 5 children. Lyman W. Rosebrooks and his wife, Deborah, of Oxford, Becky L. Phillips and her husband, Randy G. of Oxford, W. Orrin Rosebrooks and his wife, Debi Lomuscio-Rosebrooks, of Oxford, Laurie C. Daley and her husband, Sean P. of Worcester, and Roy H. Rosebrooks and his wife, Beata of Oxford; 12 grandchildren, Freeman, Amy, David, Nick, Austin, Trevor, Nicholas, Benjamin, Matthew, Padraig, Seamus, and Zoe.

She was born in Worcester, MA, daughter of the late Charles H. and Martha C. (Cogswell) Gravelin of Sutton. Marcia also leaves behind two sisters, Charlene “Peewee” Doucette of North Bridgton, Maine and Nancy G. Brigham of Sutton along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Marcia graduated from Sutton High School in 1962. She was a member of the Sutton Hillside Club for many years. Marcia enjoyed visiting Lakeside Pines Campground each summer, driving golf carts and was a fan of boat rides on Long Lake. Sunday breakfast with Lyman’s family was the highlight of her week. Walks in the woods on her back 40 was a favorite past time. Marcia spent her last year’s enjoying visiting friends.

The family will honor her wishes for a private burial at a later date.
