WEST MILLBURY / WARE Marcus M. Paine Jr., 74, formerly of West Millbury and Belchertown Rd. in Ware, died Sunday, July 9th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester.
He leaves two sons, Lincoln H. Paine of Ware and Christopher M. Paine and his wife Kelly of East Brookfield; a daughter, Susan E. Maass and her husband Mark of Auburn; a special friend, Joyce A. Haas of Ware; a granddaughter and three grandsons; nephews and nieces. He was born and raised in West Millbury, and lived in East Brookfield form 1968 to 1992 when he moved to Ware. He is predeceased by his parents, Marcus M. and Ida (McCracken) Paine.
Mr. Paine was a dairy farmer in West Millbury for many years. He also formerly worked for Kesseli and Morse Co. in Worcester and was an independent contractor in East Brookfield, before he retired.
His graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 12th in Central Cemetery, West and Waters St., Millbury. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Mass in care of VNA Care Network, Inc. Development Office 120 Thomas Street Worcester, MA 01608-1280.
