Margaret Dominy

Margaret Dominy, 81, died Tuesday April 8, 2025 at her Milbury home surrounded by family after a long battle with dementia and diabetes. She was born in Sicily on October 4, 1943 to parents Salvatore and Caterina Mule.

Margaret moved to America in 1956 at the age of thirteen with her parents and sisters. They settled in Syracuse, NY where she later met her loving husband, Lyle Dominy, while working together at Harvey's Diner. The two married in 1961 and spent 63 wonderful years together, having three children and moving to Massachusetts.

Margaret was an accomplished and educated woman. She worked as an executive secretary at Prime Computers for many years and earned her degree in psychology from Assumption College. She deeply enjoyed sewing, cooking for her family (and anyone who came to visit), and spending time with her grandchildren.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Lyle and three children and their spouses, Allen and Michele Dominy, Caterina and Kevin Caplette, and Lori and John Brady. As well as her three sisters Antoinette, Francis, and Anna, six grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole, Cyndi, Jessica, Emily, and Ryder, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Margaret’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Saturday, April 26th from 9 to 11 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury. Her funeral service will be celebrated following the visitation at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment with a committal service will follow at St. Brigid Cemetery, Millbury.
