SUTTON – Margaret L. (Townsend) Ludvigson, 97, died Thursday, Oct. 19th in St. Camillus Health Center in Whitinsville.

Her husband Gustaf E. Ludvigson died forty years ago.  She leaves a son, Robert B. Ludvigson and his wife, Virginia Charity of Sutton; a step-daughter, Marion Lysiak of Worcester; four grandchildren, Kallie Gandee, Kyle Sartin, of Delaware, Joel Charity, and Jana Richard of Sutton; eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, William E. and Julia (Rollins) Townsend, two sisters, Eunice Hoyle and Lynn Robideau and a brother, Clement Gerry.

Margaret graduated from the former Commerce High School and the David Fanning School for Nursing, both in Worcester.  She was a nurse at Memorial Hospital and then St. Vincent Hospital, both in Worcester before she retired.  The family would like to thank the staff at St. Camillus Health Center for their dedication and caring for Margaret.

Family and friends will honor and remember Margaret’s life by gathering for a calling hour on Monday, Oct. 23rd from 10 to 11a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury, followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery in Worcester.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Activity Fund of St. Camillus Health Center, 447 Hill St., Whitinsville, MA 01588.
