MILLBURY – Margaret M. Powers, 88, died Saturday, Jan. 16th in the Millbury Health care Center.
She leaves two sister-in-laws, Anna Powers and Florence Powers; four nieces, Patricia Bjork, Deborah Bernier, Kim Fitzgerald and Susan Finne; five nephews, Billy, John and James Fitzgerald and David and Robert Powers. She was born in Sutton and is predeceased by her parents, John J. and Caroline E. (Morse) Powers, three brothers, James, John and Francis "Tessie" Powers and two sisters, Kathryn Adams and Barbara Fitzgerald. She was also a life-long friend of Margaret Matthews.
Margaret was a life-long member of St. Brigid Church. The family wishes to thank the staff of Millbury Health Care Center and Care Alternatives for their compassionate care and support.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 20th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral Mass in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St., Millbury, MA 01527.
