SUTTON – Marianne C. (Dillon) Raeke, 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29th after a long illness. She is survived by Kevin J. Raeke, her loving husband of 44 years, and her daughter Emily K. Raeke. 

Marianne was born in Brighton, MA, on February 1, 1956. She was the youngest of five children born to Joseph and Dorothea (Morris) Dillon. She graduated from St. Columbkille High School in 1973, where she was the vice president of her class. Marianne had a long career in insurance. She began as a switchboard operator and worked her way up to become Manager, Claim Business Requirements and Testing.

A lifelong sports lover, Marianne was especially enthusiastic about the Boston Celtics and was thrilled to see them win the championship this year. Marianne loved the beaches of Cape Cod. She enjoyed family vacations, including those to Bermuda, Canada, and Hawaii. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and her two beloved dogs, Roxie and Bailey. 

Marianne is also survived by her three brothers: Fran (Linda) Dillon, Joe (Donna) Dillon, and Jim (Rita) Dillon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as her in-laws, the Raekes. Marianne is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Dorothea Dillon as well as her sister Pat Cerasuolo and her husband Paul.

There will be a visitation at Mulhane Funeral Home on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 9 AM to 10:15 AM. The funeral will follow at 11 AM at St. Mark’s Church in Sutton.
