WORCESTER / MILLBURY – Marjorie (Shaw) Dudley, of Worcester, formerly of Millbury, died Friday, Sept. 25th in the Knollwood Nursing Center in Worcester.
She is predeceased by her husband, Ruel W. Dudley Jr. and her daughter, Judith M. Dudley. She was the daughter of Raymond E. and Elizabeth (Tobin) Shaw. She leaves her companion, V. Bradford Lawson.
For 53 years, Marjorie worked in the laboratory services field. After diligently working and petitioning, Marjorie had a cross light signal erected to have her fellow workers be able to safely get to and from work. It was proclaimed Marjie's Walk Way. The Mayor of Worcester further proclaimed April 27, 2007 as Marjorie Dudley Day.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, Sept. 30th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, prior to the funeral Mass. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury.
