WORCESTER – Marjorie M. (Platts) Thyden, 91, passed away on July 2nd after failing health.
Marjorie’s husband, Robert E. Thyden passed away in 1983. She leaves three children, Linda M. Blair and her husband, Terence of Worcester, Robert K. Thyden and his wife, Sharon of Auburn and Ronald E. Thyden of Worcester; four granddaughters, Sherri Duquette, Kelley Thyden, Brianne Padden and Victoria Blair; six great granddaughters, Sarah and Michaela Duquette, Samantha Partridge, Irelyn and McKenna Padden and Harley David; a sister, Gertrude Carpinetti of Millbury; several nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was a member of Bethlehem Covenant Church in Worcester for many years. She worked for the WRTA and later as a department manager at the FAIR. Marjorie was very talented at crafts, particularly quilting. Marjorie’s happiest years were when she and Robert were involved in the Aleppo Temple mounted patrol, caring for their horses and traveling to Florida in the winter.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marjorie’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Sunday, July 8th from 5 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
Her funeral service will follow the service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
