SUTTON – Martha (Cogswell) Gravelin, 98, died Wednesday, Aug. 10th in the Lanessa Extended Care Center in Webster.
Her husband, Charles H. Gravelin died in 2001. She leaves three daughters, Charlene G. Doucette and her husband, Gerald M. Jr. of North Bridgton, ME, Nancy G. Brigham and her husband James B. of Sutton and Marcia C. Rosebrooks of Oxford; 14 grandchildren, Gregory, Beth Anne, Todd, Mark, Scott, James Jr., Keir, Marcia, Jennifer, Lyman, Becky, Orrin, Laurie and Roy; several great grandchildren; one great great grandson; nieces and nephews. She was born in Essex, daughter of the late Charles E. and Sadie J. (Hanson) Cogswell and is also predeceased by a grandson, John.
Mrs. Gravelin was a member of the DAR and the First Congregational Church of Sutton and worked for many years in the Sutton School Cafeteria.
A calling hour will be held from Noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16th prior to a funeral service at 1 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery in Sutton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Congregational Church, 307 Boston Rd., Sutton, MA 01590.
