Mary Baldarelli

July 10, 1929 — August 4, 2010

MILLBURY – Mary C. (Baston) Baldarelli, 81, formerly of West Boylston, died Wednesday, Aug. 4th in her home, after an illness.

She leaves three daughters, Jill Baldarelli and her partner, Patricia Sarty of Worcester, Lee Baldarelli and her partner, Robin Booth of Worcester and Abbi Bayersdorfer and her husband, Erik of Clearwater, FL; two sons, Richard Baldarelli and his fiancée, Ashley of Trenton, ME and Bert Baldarelli and his wife, Catherine of Sutton; six grandchildren, Tegan, Isobel, Charlott, Anthony, Michael and Maria; a brother, William Baston and his wife, Carol of South Hadley; a sister, Marion Elizabeth Emmett and her husband, Dan of Chesapeake, VA; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her parents, William B. and Elfreda M. (Currier) Baston and a sister, Almira Baston of Derry, NH.

Mary was devoted to her five children and delighted in their success. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, never missing a single sporting event, and was awarded "Best Fan" by Holy Name High School in 2008.
Mary was a skilled psychiatric registered nurse. Toward the latter part of her career, she continued her education at Worcester State College and received a bachelor of science in nursing and a certification in psychiatric nursing. By camping out an entire weekend at the State House in Boston for a state initiated early retirement program, she effectively protested the enrollment limitation. She retired at age 62.
Mary's commitment to making people's lives more comfortable drove not only her dedication to family and career, but also her loyalty to countless friends and animals. She had a gift for dog training and good ol' home cooking, and was a devoted Boston sports fan.

The family extends deep gratitude to Mary's caregivers: Janine Lareau, Lucille Hannon, Emmie Himmelman, Tanya Holmes and the Jewish Home Hospice Staff.

Mary's Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7th in St. Patrick's Church, 1 Cross St. in Whitinsville. The family respectfully requests that those attending the Funeral Mass go directly to the church. Burial will be private at a later date, in Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington, NH. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Name High School Athletic Fund, 144 Granite St., Worcester, MA 01604 or to the Jewish Home Hospice, 629 Salisbury St., Worcester, MA 01609
