Mary R. (McLaughlin) Bertrand, 90, died Monday, December 31, 2012 in the Millbury Health Care Center.
Her husband, Milton K. Bertrand died in 1989. She leaves a daughter, Frances M. Gauthier of Millbury; three sons, Kevin O. Bertrand of Millbury, David Bertrand of East Hardwick, VT and Dr. Bruce K. Bertrand of Sterling; two sisters, Ann Beasley of Millbury and Kathleen Welsh of Holden; three brothers, Raymond McLaughlin of Chelmsford, Edward McLaughlin of Millbury and James McLaughlin of Millbury; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Millbury and is predeceased by her parents, Francis J. and Hazel (Northrop) McLaughlin, a brother, Francis McLaughlin and a sister, Margaret Chase.
Mrs. Bertrand was a clerk at the former Fallon Clinic in Worcester before she retired. Previously she worked for Millbury Engineering and Goretti's Supermarket both in Millbury. She was a member and lector at St. Brigid Church in Millbury. She was also an election worker at the Millbury Polls.
Mary's funeral will be held Thursday, Jan. 3rd from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2nd in the funeral home and burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the activity fund of the Millbury Health Care Center, 312 Millbury Ave. Millbury, MA 01527.
