Mary Boliver

January 5, 1940 — May 17, 2010

MILLBURY- Mary Cora "Tatou" (Bergeron) Boliver, 70, of Millbury, died Monday, May 17, 2010 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her family after a battle with the rare disease of amyloidosis.

She leaves her husband of 46 years, Leo G. Boliver of Millbury, a son, James G. Boliver and his wife Tracey of Oxford, a daughter Barbara Marderosian and her husband Scott of Charlton, a brother John Bergeron of Poughkeepsie, NY, and four beloved grandchildren: Grace, Flora, Luke, and Shayla. She was born in Worcester on January 5, 1940 and is predeceased by her father George Bergeron, her mother, Corona Bergeron, and her sister, Blanche Bergeron, who died April 15, 2010.

She lived in Millbury all of her life and graduated from Millbury High School and Salters Secretarial School. In her youth, Mary was an avid athlete who played basketball all over the country. She recently was inducted into the Millbury High School Athletic Hall of Fame. She also was a musician who played the drums and bugle for school and local drum corps such as Power Star Harmony. Several years ago, she retired as an administrative assistant to the International Studies Department of The College of the Holy Cross. Over the years, Mary participated in various community organizations such as the Millbury Women's Club.

A wonderful wife, mother, and "memere", she will be sorely missed. The family would like to express their appreciation to all who have extended hands of support during this time of sorrow and for the compassion and professionalism demonstrated by the staff at the CCU at Memorial Hospital.

Her funeral will be held Friday, May 21st from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. in Worcester. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 20th in the funeral home.
