WORCESTER - Mary T. (Sinnott) Duca, 84, died Saturday, July 2nd at the Quaboag Skilled Care & Rehabilitation where she was surrounded by her family.
Her husband Anthony J. Duca died in 1991. She leaves, a daughter, Ann-Marie Sarja and her husband, Ronald of West Brookfield; two sons, Robert Duca of Putney, VT and Steven Duca and his wife Robin Ashton of Delray Beach, FL; a daughter-in-law, Sylvia Duca of Houston, TX; a little sister, Sybil Darcy of Gloucester, MA; ten grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Mary (Loan) Sinnott and her oldest son, Thomas Duca in 1999.
Mary worked at the former Worcester City Hospital and retired from the Worcester Office of the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of the Big Brother Big Sister Program for over 20 years. She sang in the choir of the Our Lady of the Angels Church in Worcester and was an avid music lover.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, July 9th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. in Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 8th in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rays of Hope Foundation, 280 Chestnut Street Springfield, MA, 01199 or raysofhope@baystatehealth.org
