MILLBURY Mary Elizabeth Horner, 29, died suddenly on Thursday, April 29th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester.
She leaves her mother, Marlene J. (Legassey) Horner of Millbury; two brothers, Jerry Horner of Maryland and Robert Horner of Worcester; four sisters, Teresa Giordano of Chelmsford, Beth Oliveira of Charlton, Marlene Horner of Northbourgh and Heather DeFilippi of Londonderry, NH; her maternal grandmother, June Legassey of Millbury; an aunt and uncle, Mary Beth Legassey and Kevin Cotter; six nieces and nephews. Mary was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her father, Jerry D. Horner and her maternal grandfather, Adelard Legassey.
Mary graduated from Millbury Memorial High School in 2000 and belonged to the Bridge of Massachusetts. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Mary was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, May 4th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, May 3rd from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Bridge of Central Mass, 4 Mann St., Worcester, 01602.
