MILLBURY Mary M. Lukaszek, 90, of 4 Burbank St., died Saturday, June 26th in her home, after being stricken ill.
She leaves a cousin, Josephine Mulvey and a close friend, Carole Chiras . A brother, Joseph J. Lukaszek and a cousin, Anne Smith predeceased her. She was born in Geneva, New York, daughter of Michael and Anna (Chowaniec) Lukaszek and has lived here most of her life. She graduated from Millbury High School and Emmanuel College, Boston, class of 1934.
Miss Lukaszek was a teacher for the Millbury School Department where she taught for 43 years. Mary taught at the Dorothy Manor School, the Center School and the Elmwood School, retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church.
Mary was fond of animals and gardening. She enjoyed many friends. As an educated woman and an educator, Mary enjoyed reading in being current in world events.
A funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 29th in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in St. BrigidTM)s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. Millbury, is in charge of the arrangements.
