MILLBURY – Mary B. (Balukonis) Mrozinski, died Friday, May 23rd surrounded by her family.
She leaves her husband, of 56 years, W.P.D. Lt. (Ret.) Victor J. Mrozinski; a niece and caregiver, Joyce (Ostrowski) Sampson and her husband, Harry and their son, Alex of Millbury; a sister-in-law and dear friend, Grace Balukonis and nine nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, Lawrence J. and Teresa A. (Jakubavich) Balukonis and five siblings, Isabel Stankus, Antoinette Stefanski, Aldona Lozoraitis, Joseph Balukonis and Irene Ostrowski.
Mary was the Head Administrative Clerk at the Worcester Court House for 37 years, retiring in 1990. She attended Worcester Schools and Salters Secretarial School. She was a life time member of Our Lady of Vilna Church in Worcester and sang in their choir and was a member of the Knight of Lithuania Council #116. Mary and her husband traveled extensively including five continents and 17 European countries. Mary and Victor vacationed for 37 years in Miami Beach, Florida. Mary was proud of her Lithuanian heritage and prayed the Rosary every day.
Mary's funeral will be held Thursday, May 29th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 28th in the funeral home. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester.
