MILLBURY - Mary V. (Hamilton) Nelson, 70, of 7 Lindy St., died Saturday, Jan. 5, in her home, after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 49 years, Clifford N. Nelson; three sons, David S. Nelson of Worcester, Eric C. Nelson of Tustin, California and Peter N. Nelson of Brockton; a daughter, Cynthia A. Hayes of Shrewsbury; two brothers, Charles Hamilton and David Hamilton; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Lawrence, daughter of Charles G. and Viola (Newcomb) Hamilton and has lived here many years.
Mrs. Nelson was a nurses aid and worked for Kelly Home Care and the former Memorial Hospital, both in Worcester, before retiring.
She was a member of the Millbury Federated Church and several of the churchTM)s committees and a member of the Germanian Club in Worcester. She was a past member of the Millbury WomanTM)s Club.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, in Millbury Federated Church, 20 Main St. Burial will be in private in Central Cemetery. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Care Hospice, Inc., 120 Thomas St., Worcester, Ma. 01608.
