MILLBURY Mary E. "Mae" Plante, 95, formerly of Maple St., died Friday, June 3rd in Millbury HealthCare Center.
Her husband, Edward A. Plante died in 1983. She leaves two sons, E. Bernard Plante and Richard F. Plante both of Millbury; four grandchildren, Maureen Trottier, Michelle Remuck, Kevin Plante and J.R. Plante all of Millbury; nine great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by three sisters, Kathleen Carney, Margaret Usher and Eileen Tuite and two brothers, Bernard J. Carney and Daniel F. Carney. She was born in Bethel, Vt., daughter of Daniel F. and Julia A. (Byrnes) Carney and lived in Milford before moving to Millbury sixty years ago.
Mrs. Plante was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church, a former member and past president of St. BrigidTM)s WomenTM)s Club and a former member of the Mother McCauley Guild. She was a former school crossing guard.
A funeral will be held Wednesday, June 8th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 7th, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Millbury Lions Club, P.O.
