MILLBURY – Mary M. Power, 87, died Sunday, Oct. 7th at Care One at Millbury.
She leaves two close cousins, John F. Noone Jr. and his companion, Jill Lantinen and Michael L. Noone and his wife, Rosemary; a God daughter, Christine Sylvan; a close friend of many years, William Armstrong. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, John and Agnes (Scanlon) Power and a cousin, Brian W. Noone.
Mary was an Administrative Assistant at the Felter’s Company in Millbury, where she worked for 44 years, retiring in 1992. She graduated from Millbury High School in 1949, where she received the Horace Mann award and was a member of various class committees. She was a representative of the Daughter of the American Revolution, received Becker’s Business Key and received a National Bookkeeping Trophy.
Family and friends will honor and remember Mary’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Thursday Oct. 11th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday Oct. 12th at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. in Worcester. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Leicester. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
