Mary Anastatia (Zalieckas) Reeves, 68, died Saturday September 28, 2013 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.
She leaves her husband of 45 years, Joseph H. Reeves Jr.; three sons, Kevin Reeves of Shrewsbury, Keith Reeves of Millbury and Shawn Reeves and his wife, Rebecca of Millbury. She leaves 6 grandchildren; Danielle, Cole, Lilly, Kasey, Drew, and Jack; two sisters, Anne and her husband, Francis Frederico, Julia and her husband, Robert Guertin all of Millbury; a brother, Joseph Zalieckas of Spencer; a sister in law, Betty-Anne and her husband Don Leblanc of Millbury; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Zalieckas and her sister Dorothy.
Mrs. Reeves was a graduate of the former Commerce High School, Worcester in 1963, she and her husband moved to Grafton to start a family. She worked as a secretary at Wyman Gordon's and other local trucking companies. Later re-located to Millbury where she made many new friends. Mrs. Reeves enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Had many friends and many hobbies most of which she enjoyed to the fullest. Mary was an avid bowler, playing cards, enjoyed traveling, and was a member of the red hat club and organizing an annual trip to New York City each year. Mary was an active member of St. Brigid Church. She was very passionate about doing for those closest to her.
Mary's calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2nd from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3rd at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main Street in Millbury. Burial will follow the Mass in Central Cemetery in Millbury.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123.
