MILLBURY Maxine A. ((Yale) Bengtson, 94, of 319 West Main St., died Tuesday, Jan. 11th in Heywood Memorial Hospital, Gardner.
Her husband, Frank A.E. Bengtson, died in 1971. She leaves a daughter, Maxine wife of Ernest Fjellman of West Millbury; a son, James C. and his wife Ellen Bengtson of Anaheim, CA; a sister, Lavonne Thompson of North Dakota; a daughter-in-law, Florence Bengtson of Millbury; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Bengtson, a son, Frank G. Bengtson and a grandson, Frank W. Bengtson. She was born in Greene, North Dakota, daughter of Frank G. and Minnie E. (Slaughter) Yale and has lived here since 1926.
Mrs. Bengtson worked for the Charlotte WolfeTM)s Catering Service for many years. At sixty years old she became a nurse and did elder care nursing in California.
Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15th in the First Congregational Church, West Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14th in the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury.
