WORCESTER - Megan Elizabeth Dorsey-Clawson, age 42, passed away unexpectedly at home on October 12, 2022. Megan had always been a bright light in this world and her kindness, laughter, and smile were extinguished in this world far too soon.
Megan was born in Princeton, NJ and was raised in Kendall Park, NJ, Newburyport, MA and Malvern, PA. She graduated from Agnes Irwin School Bryn Mawr, PA, the University of Vermont with a B.A. in English and earned a Master of Special Education degree from The University of Phoenix. Megan’s choice of a career was indicative of her immense compassion and commitment to helping others. She held various teaching positions in Vermont and Massachusetts and found the most fulfillment through her work as a therapist with Autistic Spectrum Disorder children. For the past couple of years, however, Megan was employed at United Parcel Service in Shrewsbury, Ma where she was often recognized as a superlative employee. She loved the strenuous physical nature of the work and the comradery shared with co-workers.
An impressively accomplished athlete, Megan completed several triathlons and road races. She competed in crew during her college years as a coxswain, and she continued to be an avid runner throughout her life. Megan loved all forms of art, scrapbooking, dancing, swimming, and her devoted American Bull boxer Sadie.
Megan leaves behind her loving husband Kristofer Clawson, her son Theodore Dorsey, her mother Nadia Dorsey, sisters Jaime Seeley and Kelly Mullen, her in-laws Janet and Thomas Clawson, sister and brother-in-law Jayne and Chris Pierce, goddaughter Maggie Bligh Pierce, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
