WEBSTER – Michael F. DeSalvio, 71, died Monday, March 26, 2012 in his home, after being stricken ill.
He leaves a daughter, Tina M. Nichols of Weymouth; two step-sons, Rob and Paul Shablin of Woburn; nine grandchildren; his long-time companion, Sandra Shablin of Florida; five sisters, Julie Pierce and Donna Belton-Gaudino both of Millbury, Rita Wall of Florida, Beverly Tavano of Worcester, Diane LaFountain and her husband, Roy of Grafton; many nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Matteo and Anna (Potenti) DeSalvio and three brothers and five sisters.
He was a bartender for Moyners Tavern in Worcester, for 30 years, before he retired.
His funeral will be held Thursday, March 29th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28th in the funeral home.
