SUTTON, MA i�½ Michael T. Ellsessar, 16, died Monday Nov. 15th at Mary Lane Hospital in Ware, after being stricken while playing high school football at Quaboag High School in Warren.
Mike was born and raised in Sutton, MA. He was in the sophomore class at Sutton Memorial High School, where he was an honor student, a member in the high school band, a varsity member of the Sutton Track & Field Team (Javelin & Relay). He also was a varsity & Jr. varsity football player for the Oxford High School "Pirates" (#99) and a varsity member of the Northbridge Rams - High School Ice Hockey Team (#20). Mike loved all sports and loved being a teammate. In his early years he played Ice Hockey for the MidState Youth Hockey Program (Ice Cats/ Sharks) in Auburn, MA. He was involved in his church where he was confirmed last year as well as a member of the youth group. He loved participating in the "City Reach" program for the homeless in Boston.
To all of Mike's numerous friends, classmates, teammates, buddies, coaches, parents, Pastors, mentors, girl friend, (Carly) and best friend (Alex), Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Brothers and Sisters, Moms & Dads - Know that Michael is with you always. You have all touched his life and he has touched yours. He loved life and lived it to the fullest in his short 16 years and we are all better because of it.
Michael leaves a large loving family that includes his parents, John M. and Luann F. (Kendall) Ellsessar of Sutton; his brothers, Patrick and Timothy; his grandparents, Dale and Frances Kendall of Orrville OH. Predeceased by his "Grams" Barbara M. (Sullivan) Ellsessar, He leaves his uncle James Ellsessar of Rutland, MA, His Aunts & Uncles Rhonda & Tim McGuire of Orrville, OH, Rick & Gina Kendall of Sterling, OH, Nicki & Jeff Drown of Wooster, OH, Mike & Marsha Kendall of Wooster, OH, numerous Cousins. He also leaves his extended next door neighbor family of Dean & Sue Messier & their three daughters (Allison, Emily & Erin)
Michaeli�½s calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19th at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, MA. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20th in the First Congregational Church 307 Boston Rd. on the common in Sutton, MA. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael T. Ellsessar Memorial Fund - care of First Congregational Church 307 Boston Rd. Sutton, MA 01590.
