Michael Frankian

October 28, 1922 — September 30, 2007

WORCESTER Michael Frankian, 84, formerly of Tatman St., died Sunday, Sept. 30th in the Washburn House, Worcester.

He leaves his wife, Doris L. (Stockhaus) Frankian; a son Mark R. and his wife Patricia Frankian of Millbury; a daughter, Lynne M. wife of Michael Bonasia of South Yarmouth; two brothers, Jacob Frankian and his wife, Elsie and George Frankian and his wife, Mary all of Worcester and a sister-in-law, Alice Frankian of Worcester; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Julie Frankian; several nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents Giragos and Marriam (Danielian) Frankian, a brother, Harry Frankian and a sister, Catherine Bedigian.

Mr. Frankian was a bricklayer and worked for the Bricklayers Union and he also was a building inspector for the City of Worcester, before he retired. He was a Mason with the Guiding Lights Lodge A.F. & A.M. Lodge in Worcester and he was an Army Air Corps Technical Sergeant during WW II and distinguishly served in the engagements at Rome-Arno, the Northern Apennines, Northern and Southern France, the Rineland and the Balkans. Among his many badges, he received the Distinguished Flying Cross.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3rd in All Faith Cemetery, 7 Island Rd., Worcester. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. following the graveside service in the Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, 9 Stebbins St Worcester. There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funerals, Millbury, is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, 9 Stebbins St., Worcester, MA 01607 or to the Armenian Apostolic Holy Trinity Church, 635 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
