MILLBURY – Michael M. Tebo, 69, passed away on Sunday, December 18th.
It is with great sadness we share the news of Mike’s passing. He struggled with COPD for many years with never a complaint and always a kind word for anyone he encountered.
Mike leaves his daughter, Emily Tebo; two sisters, JoAnn and Kathy and a brother, Richard; along with several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Walter Tebo of Centerville, MA and Noël Tebo-Kline of Millbury, MA.
Mike grew up in Millbury and was active in town sports, served as an altar boy at St. Brigid Church and graduated from Holy Name High School. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Navy and honorably served his country from 1971-1975. He was a carpenter for most of his adult life.
Mike’s group of friends spanned his lifetime with “the gang” visiting him in his final weeks. He enjoyed disc golf, happy to share his knowledge and entice anyone he could in a game. Emily was one of his willing opponents. Mike was proud of his hole-in-one at Buffumville Disc Golf Course in August of 2002 on hole #16. He was happy to share his knowledge and discs with everyone. In the last years of his life, Mike found enjoyment in watching all Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics games, and looked forward to rehashing the games and news with Kathy weekly.
We should all take comfort in knowing that Mike is finally at peace and his soul is set free.
Mike’s wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 13th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Old Time Inn, 29 Canal Street in Millbury.
