MILLBURY/WORCESTER – Michael P. Tremblay, Sr., 48, passed back into God's hands Monday, Aug. 3rd surrounded by his family at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
He leaves a daughter, Krystal Tremblay and a son, Michael Tremblay, Jr., both of Worcester; three grandchildren, Dimitri, Dominic, Christopher McPherson and another grandchild on the way all of Worcester; his father, Raymond Tremblay of Millbury; two brothers, Stephen Tremblay of Casco, ME and Raymond (Tubby) Tremblay of Millbury; many aunts and uncles; a nephew and niece, Hayden and Margo Tremblay of Casco, ME; his close friend, Leona Young of Worcester; his children's mother, Pamela Marengo of Worcester. He was born in Long Island, NY and is predeceased by his mother, Shirley (Jones) Tremblay and a sister Ann Marie Tremblay.
He grew up in Millbury, as a youth he played baseball and hockey. Michael loved snowmobiling, fishing, fast cars and his beloved companion "Rocky" his cat. He was a sports enthusiast and a NASCAR fan.He was a diesel mechanic for R&M Leasing in Oxford, for 22 years and he made many friends along the way.
Michael's funeral will be held on Saturday, August 8th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 7th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael Tremblay, Sr. College Trust Fund, for his grandchildren's education, c/o Webster Five Cents Savings Bank, 400 Southbridge St., Auburn, MA, 01501.
