MILLBURY – Minnie Belle (Shepard) Lague, 89, a resident of Millbury for over 50 years, died on Sunday, March 1st at St. Vincent Hospital, after a short illness.
Born in Lansing, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Adolphus and Samantha Rosa (Elliott) Shepard. She graduated as Valedictorian of Lansing High School and attended Pfeiffer College. While living in Millbury, she was employed as an office manager for Dr. Hans Wolf and Dr. James Pialtos. She retired many years ago. Up until a week before her death she was a very active member and participant at Millbury Baptist Church.
She leaves her three daughters: Patricia Willoughby of Millbury, Linda Bond of Dorchester and Dorothy Siderski of Worcester. She also leaves her beloved seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and her brother, The Rev E. Elworth Shepherd of Jefferson, N.C.. Her husband, Kenneth E. Lague and son, Kenneth E. Lague, II predeceased her.
Her Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, March 7th in the Millbury Baptist Church, Main St. in Millbury. There are no calling hours and the burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Millbury Baptist Church, P.O. Box 222, Millbury, MA 01527 or to the American Heart Association 20 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
