Nancy Stratford

AUBURN – Nancy Ellen (Wilczynski) Stratford, 73, passed away on Thursday, April 1st in her loving daughter's arms.

Nancy leaves behind her daughter’s, Kelly Wong-Kam and her husband Peter of Worcester, with whom she lived and Jennifer Stratford and fiance John Bolduc of Dudley. She leaves behind three loving grandsons; Tyler, Ryan and Henry; two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Flynn, whom she all adored. She is also survived by her brother Theodore Wilczynski of Hardwick, her brother Michael Wilczynski of Millbury and her sister and brother-in-law Susan and Jim Dufresne of Millbury. She leaves behind her longtime companion James "Skip" McCann of Millbury. Nancy leaves behind several nieces and nephews; Josh, Sarah, Meagan, Alicia, Jannel, Cara and Marc. She is predeceased by two sisters-in-law; Catherine Wilcynski and Michelle DiMartino and her parents, Henry and Beatrice (Almonte) Wilczynski.

Nancy grew up on Dorothy Pond in Millbury and later moved to Auburn. She graduated from Millbury High School and went on to work and retire from Unum, formally Paul Revere. Nancy enjoyed vacationing at Cape Cod. She loved going to the casino, especially Las Vegas. She loved a nice hot cup of "China" tea. She absolutely loved spending time with her grandson's and great-grandchildren. Nancy devoted her life being a single mom; raising two girls. Special thanks to the staff at the Bone Marrow Transplant unit at UMASS; Dr. Cerny, Lindsey, Tara, Beth, Deb, Kasia, Ryan, Krissy, Rachel and her visiting nurse Mindy.

Family and friends will honor and remember Nancy’s life with a time of visitation on Wednesday, April 7th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 8th at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street in Worcester.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
