MILLBURY - Nellie R. (Piktelis) Mangano, 77, of 34 Braney Rd., died Thursday, July 17 in the Coes Pond Hospice Residence, 10 Judith Rd., Worcester.
Her husband, Anthony J. Mangano Sr. died in 1990. She leaves a daughter, Linda R. Swenson of Millbury; a son, Anthony J. Mangano Jr. of Millbury; a brother, Albert Piktelis of Worcester; two grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A brother, John Piktelis and two sisters, Mary Puzar and Ann Palevicus predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Benjamin and Margaret (Vasilauskas) Piktelis and has lived here 49 years.
Mrs. Mangano was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church, the Friends of the Millbury Seniors, the Millbury Council on Aging, the Millbury Golden Age, and the AARP Bancroft Chapter in Worcester.
The funeral will be held Saturday, July 19, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., ( www.mulhane.com ) with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St. Burial will be in St. BrigidTM)s Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 18, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Coes Pond Hospice Residence 10 Judith Road, Worcester, Ma. 01602.
